Early World of Reading
Reading is undoubtedly the single most important skill for your child to master, mainly because it is the key to all the other subjects your child will learn. It is also the key to worlds of pleasure and information via books, magazines, and newspapers.
Jim and Alena have produced an incredible website that makes it easy to teach your Little One the joy of reading. You’ll find that they are very, very patient, and that’s one reason they are very, very effective. If you want to sample their offering, simply access the link to their program:
Having said that, let me say this: experts state children should be read to at least once every day; they say, the sessions should span at least fifteen minutes. I agree, I think that’s important; however, I think it is more important that a parent commune (to be in a state of intimate, heightened sensitivity and receptivity) during that span of time as a minimum. That span of time can be reading, listening, playing games, sharing a snack, etc. In other words, be a mini lightening rod for your child. The reason reading is so important is that your child can do it alone (when you are not available) and reap the benefits involving anything they desire.
Isn’t that exciting! You’d better believe it is!
